Energy Efficiency Upgrades:-

  • Fit thermostatic valves on radiators
  • Change to a condenser boiler (oil or gas)
  • Valve system (Hot water to independent zones; upstairs and downstairs)
  • Fit room and cylinder stats
  • Installation of solar panels
  • Docking of a heat pump to boiler.

POWER FLUSHING

Central heating systems gradually suffer a build-up of scale, sludge and corrosion within the boiler, pipes and radiators.

This usually results in noise from the boiler, cold spots on radiators, and the systems failure to pump hot water to the radiators furthest away from the boiler.

The problem is simply remedied by connecting a flushing pump to the heating system (i.e. across standard circulator pump couplings, across the tails of one radiator, or wherever else is most practicable).

Power flushing involves treating the heating system with a combination of:-

The process will take approximately four hours to complete.

Energy efficient Upgrades for existing systems

SOLAR PANELS

Significant reductions to energy consumption and water heating costs, (where the central heating system provides a store of hot water in a cylinder) can be made by the use of solar panels. Savings on fuel costs are immediate and lower fuel consumption is a major benefit to the environment.

Flat panels typically supply between 50% and 70% of all the hot water used. The remaining demand will then be met by the central heating boiler. Solar panels are not dependant on either high temperature or long spells of sunshine. They operate on the principle of light absorption. A special coating on the light absorber ensures that the system is effective even on cloudy days!

Indoor High Efficiency Oil Condensing Boilers

With efficiencies of up to 97%, High Efficiency Oil Condensing Boilers easily exceed the minimum requirements of SEDBUK Band A. They operate more economically than conventional boilers and are suitable for use on most types of fully pumped heating and hot water systems.
